After opening a successful spa on Toronto’s King West and starting an in-house skincare line, Cela, Celina Tadrissi got the opportunity to open a second location. Working with Skinceuticals, plastic surgeon Dr. Sean Rice, and Bayview Village Shopping Centre, the North York location was born.
Having developed the branding for Cela in 2016, Community was tasked with developing both the Hammam Spa and Cela brand further. Allowing each brand to live together with ease and without compromising the existing quality expected from each brand.
Inspired by the Turkish bath origins of the spa and the delicate intricacies of architecture and tile design in the Middle East, we refreshed the Hammam Spa logo. We designed an instantly recognizable icon that could be used throughout every aspect of the spa experience. An H emblem that could be a singular monogram on a towel or gift bag or extended into a repeating pattern on a pillow or spa menu. The black and white colour story maintains the marriage to the Cela brand, while the gold accents bring a bit of luxury and a visual representation of the level of service at the spa. An intimate space for renewal, growth, focus, and harmony, Hammam Spa brings ancient traditions into the modern world.
